He was born in 1960 in Laxmipur, Noakhali. After completing his secondary and higher secondary education in Dhaka, he obtained a higher degree from the Department of Political Science at Dhaka University. At that time he also obtained a higher degree from Jamia Ahmadiya Sunnia Aleya Madrasa in Dhaka.
He later moved to the United States in 1990 for higher education. He was honored by local and foreign organizations for his Islamic knowledge and for spreading Islam widely.
