Biography of Dimitar Dimov
Dimitar Dimov (22.2.1903, Tarnovo - 4.2.1968, Sofia) was a Bulgarian writer, politician, and military figure.
He was one of the leaders of the partisan movement and served as a lieutenant general. Dimov was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor in 1963. He was born to a working-class family.
Early Life and Activism
In 1920, Dimov joined the Youth Workers' Union, and in 1922, he became a member of the Bulgarian Communist Party (BCP).
