Martin Fry, the frontman of the band "ABC", was born on March 9, 1958, in Manchester, England.
He joined the band "ABC" in 1980 when Stephen Singleton and Mark White from the band "Vice Versa" recruited him as the lead vocalist. The band played music in the new romantic movement, along with bands like "Duran Duran," "Spandau Ballet," and "The Human League." Their first single, "Tears Are Not Enough," reached the top 20 of the British charts in 1981.
