Floyd Lai, Associate Dean of Students, Student Life & Leadership

Floyd Lai (he/him) joined Student Life & Leadership as the Associate Dean of Students in September 2023 and works with the following centers as part of his portfolio of responsibility: Center for Black Cultures, Resources, and Research (CBCRR), Cross-Cultural Center (CCC), DREAM Center, Latinx Resource Center (LRC), Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Resource Center (LGBTRC), Underground Scholars Program (USP), and the Womxn’s Center of Success.

He also works with the University of California, Irvine (UCI) Staff Attorney and paralegal that are part of Immigrant Legal Services. A proud Anteater, this is his third time at UCI as he held various positions in the CCC from 2005-2011.

Before coming back Floyd served as the Director of the Cross-Cultural Center for over twelve years at California State University San Marcos (CSUSM).
