    Ric de Azevedo, a member of the King Family singers who moved into television production, is dead at 75

    Ric de Azevedo, a member of the King Family singing group who later worked behind the scenes in television, has died at the age of 75.

    The performer died on March 14 of an undisclosed illness in Fruit Heights, Utah, according to his family.

    Azevedo appeared on The King Family show in the mid-to-late 1960s, and he also had a brief career as a solo artist with Capitol Records, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

    His later work as a producer included stints on the Dukes Of Hazzard spinoff Enos, as well as the shows California Dreams and Young Maverick.

    In addition to appearing with dozens of other family members on the The King Family Show in the '60s, Azevedo was also a member of The King Cousins, a spinoff group featuring younger members of the family.
